Summer crafts 8/18/25

More summer crafts from the kids today. First up, a Hello Kitty princess drawing. C loves the "Draw So Cute" videos on YouTube. They are well narrated with simple steps, so it's easy for young kids to follow.

Next, some Rainbow Loom fun. I thought the Rainbow Loom craze was over years ago, but it was a big hit last year with the 1st grade girls. C's friends taught her how to do various styles using her fingers instead of the loom and hook. She made me a bracelet with a watermelon charm and made her dad a cup decoration, so he knows which cup is his.

J's been working on this friendship bracelet for her big sis for a couple of weeks now, and she finally finished it today. I had offered to show her how to make the knots, but she wanted to look up instructions and figure it out herself.
