Mixed Media Tag - Here and Now

I celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary last week which put me in the mood for a wedding/anniversary type project.

Here are the steps I took to make this tag:

1. Spray watercolor paper with water, then add Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose and Antique Linen.

2. Once the paper is dry, cut out hearts using the Tim Holtz Faceted Heart die.

3. Use the Tim Holtz Lace Stencil (THS034) and Picket Fence ink to ink the large heart.

4. Fold and glue all the hearts together. (I thought the little hearts would be impossible to glue but they were not! Phew!)

5. Smoosh Distress Ink Weathered Wood and Distress Oxide Bundled Sage ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz with water. Smoosh and layer inks onto another piece of watercolor paper. Once dry, cut with Tim Holtz Tag die.

6. Partially stamp tag with Tim Holtz Ledger Script stamp and Hickory Smoke archival ink.

7. Stamp tag with flowers from Tim Holtz Lady Rose and Bundled Sage distress oxide.

8. Glue a piece of fabric lace onto the left side of the tag. Glue hearts onto tag.

9. Add Tim Holtz Thought Token onto tag using twine. Add ribbon as well. Done!
