PTI Colorful Birthday card
I made this card for the current Papertrey Ink "Great Cover-Up" challenge using a bright, vibrant background for my card. I created the background by cutting up strips of cardstock scraps and gluing them at a diagonal in a rainbow-like pattern. I've seen lots of cards done this way before but never attempted it until now, because it looked like a lot of work. It did take a while to glue all the strips down, but it wasn't as tedious as I had feared.
Since the background is very colorful and busy, I kept the rest of the card simple. I cut out "Hooray" using a die from Bold Borders: Shine and the sentiment is from Initial Sentiments: Birthday.
